6/5 Day Marangu route

MARANGU ROUTE

Although is not one of our recommended route of climbing mount Kilimanjaro due to several reasons has been noted, the main reason it has no enough time and its camps set up as unsupported acclimatization well for trekkers so from the begin, you will keep gaining more altitude without lost except if you take 6 days then have one day to stay at Horombo huts and trying to use this day stay for acclimatization excursion otherwise not less than 900 m for every day altitude gain.

The summitting from Kibo huts looks like a walk on tough of loose screes with a straight zig-zag from the begins of the summit bid all the way to the school camp junction to Hans Meyer cave about halfway to the crater rim so because of many disadvantages the route has got lower success rate than other routes of Kilimanjaro

In addition, Utaalam guides use the route for the descent of our trekkers who choose to climb via our alternative Rongai route for 7 or 6 days.

This trail used in both ways up and down might be meeting with other groups take the Marangu route on they are ascending days.
