Lake Duluti
Lake Duluti is a small, topographically close volcanic crater/caldera lake found in Arumeru District in Arusha region northern Tanzania about 13 km from Arusha city center to the lake and approximately 1.31km from Tengeru town along the Arusha-Moshi surfaced road sure a hidden gem with temperatures ranging from 20-26 celsius degree centigrade Annually which receives 1021 mm of precipitation as its found on the windward side of the Mount Meru the Lake is a freshwater volcanic crater lake with a PH ranging from 7-8.8 was declared and put under local government In 1965 has a maximum length of 1100meters(1.1km)from north to south a maximum width of 730metres 0.6km squares ( 63 hectares) and a maximum depth of 9-15 meters but natives believe that it is 700meters deep of which it’s not true.
Lake Duluti’s forest reserve makes the area a tranquil destination with a cool breeze/fresh air. The forest is home to different species of a living organism which find it worthy and relies much on it for refuge shelter and procurement of basic resources the area of the forest reserve is 19 hectares it has subsurface inlets and outlets it’s water derived from underground springs from mount Meru
It was formed more than 1 million years ago, during the eruption activities of mount Meru the crater by then burst outwards forming a basin-like depression to which it later got filled with water and the wall formed rose to a heigh of 180 meters and are covered by thick forest.
Birds, Monitor Lizards, Monkeys are among common attractions around the lakeside ALSO it has a picnic site that offers a good chance of viewing all of the two highest volcanic mountains of Tanzania Mount KILIMANJARO, and MERU respectively but only on a clear day.

From the hotel depending on the drive is around 15-20 minutes to reach the lake
